MacroPlay for Palm OS

Do you wish to automate your repetitious task using a schedule or a single button? MacroPlay is the leading macro tool to record and playback pen taps and key presses for you!

If you perform a task repeatedly in Palm, you can automate the task by using a macro. A macro is a series of pen taps or key-presses that you group together as a single command to accomplish a task automatically. Instead of manually performing a series of time-consuming, repetitive pen tap and key-press actions in Palm, you can create and run a single macro - in effect, a custom command - that accomplishes the task for you. With a macro, you can schedule a connection to the network in the morning to get the latest info, access your email with a single press of a button, or turn on/off the sound in the Prefs app.

There are 2 versions of MacroPlay: MacroPlay Pro and MacroPlay.

FeaturesMacroPlay ProMacroPlay
Keyboard support - MacroPlay supports devices with a hard keyboard, like Treo, by allowing key-presses in macros.
Time-sensitive macros - The timing of your pen taps is recorded. During replay, the timing is reproduced exactly. Hence macros can be time-dependent. This is useful for network access to accomodate network delays.
Schedule a macro to run automatically - You can schedule a macro to run hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly automatically at a specific time without user intervention. Or, you can schedule a macro to execute when a special system event happens, like after a HotSync or Soft Reset operation.
1-button quick access - You can link a macro to a button on your device. Henceforth, the macro will be executed whenever the button is pressed.
Command Key quick access - You can link a macro to a Command Key, causing the macro to execute when the Command Key is entered.
Voice recognition - You can execute macros using voice commands by adding the Voice Call application.
Accelerate macro replay - You can choose to run a macro at a higher speed to accelerate your pen tap actions.
"Lock and Off" security - Scheduled macros can be executed even after the device is locked and powered off by the built-in Security app.

Besides many macros I have set up, it is great to just press one button when I am driving (or not) to have my device go to my email program, check and download. It is easy to collect my email then it is on my office PC. Well worth buying.

MacroPlay is one of those applications that should have been built into the Palm from the beginning! It is very easy to use and saves a LOT of time by recording series of keystrokes for me. I have only begun to tap the tremendous potential of this program. I can't wait for the next version. Johnny has some great new features planned! If you are a power user, you are gonna love this app!

MacroPlay is a brilliant piece of software. It fills a need that I'm amazed no one else thought of sooner. One of its great features is the ability to speed up functions that normally take too long by manual tapping. I have 19 macros that I use often. For example, instead of laboriously reentering addresses everytime you use Mapopolis I'm able to automatically enter my address with lightning speed every time. I use it to toggle WordComplete on and off, toggle beam-receive on and off, quickly go to my digitizer, look up words on an expansion card dictionary... I highly recommend it.

MacroPlay is one of my favorite apps. I use it to open maps that are stored on my memory card. It saves me a lot of taps with the stylus. I also use it to activate and deactivate apps like TextPlus and LapTop Hack. Support is great and always fast. It has a lot of features that give it the ability to perform under just about any circumstances. I highly recommend it.

For Developers
MacroPlay API lets developers launch a macro in their own applications. MacroPlay API is a free service. If you are interested to add support for macros in your app, please contact XVision.
