The virtual off button as well as the remapping of any hard button on my device operated flawlessly to power off my device. Greenfield This is a simple utility applet that allows you to shut off your Palm through software, rather than utilizing the off button on the device. Simply tapping the icon, a shutdown occurs, thus prolonging the life of the on-off button. I feel it is an excellent investment. It's unfortunate the Palm has not (yet) built the soft-shutdown into their own OS. Until they do, we have this excellent utility, which should be on every high-end Palm pda. by Bill S I purchased PowerOff and it has been working flawlessly on my Clie SJ33. It's sure a great way to save wear and tear on the power switch. For the tiny amount of memory it occupies, and the very reasonable price, there's no reason to needlessly wear out the power switch on your device. PowerOff came to my rescue.
